THE PEASANTS OF NEPAL

Agriculture forms the principle occupation of the people of Nepal. A large majority of the people of our country are peasants. The peasants live mostly in villages. They are found on the hills, in the valleys and the plains. Though Nepal is a small country, the peasants of our country differ from region to region in dress, language and customs.
Broadly speaking, the peasants of Nepal are poor. They live in small houses or huts. They eat poor food and wear ragged clothes. Most of them are illiterate.They are too much occupied with their work.They do not know what is happening in the world. They live in the midst of unclean surroundings. They are ignorant of hygiene and sanitation. They suffer from diseases.They are so poor that they cannot send their children to school.

NEPAL

The world contains big and small countries. Nepal is a small country. It lies between China and India. It is nearly 500 miles long and 100 miles broad. The population of our country is seventeen million. Most of the people live in the valleys and the plains.
    Nepal is the land of the Himalayas. The major portion of the Himalayas lies in our country. It contains some of the heist peaks, such as Everest, Dhaulagiri, Makalu,  Lhotse and Annapurna. To the south of the mountains, there is a narrow plain called the Tera i . The chief rivers of our country are the Koshi, the Gandagi and the Karnali.
The climate is cold in the north and hot in the south. The Himalayas region gets very cold in winter. The Terai is very hot is summer. The monsoon blowing  from the Bay of Bengal brings rain in summer. The rainfall is good in the country, but it decreases as we go from the east to the west.

Importance of Social Harmony for New Nepal.

Harmony means agreement or concord and social means communal. Hence , social harmony means the agreement or concord in community or society. In this context we are going to explain about the importance of harmony in the societies of Nepal. After the peoples movement 11 most of us are expecting and talking on New Nepal. Everyone pronounces the phrase New Nepal, New Nepal, New Nepal........ I think there may be no person in town or educated areas,who,doesn't pronounces New Nepal. All these results mentioned above are caused  by the social conflict and racial discord. The social harmony is essential for not only our Nepal but also every state in the world. It is necessary factor for the multidimensional development of human beings.

Cottage Industries in Nepal

The word Cottage means small house. In the same way cottage industry means the industry that can be carried on in cottages. The industries such as knitting , pottery and some kinds of weaving are cottage industries. Nepal is a country full of hills and mountains. Urbanization is difficult here. Investors are not ready to invest a large capital in our country because they haven't  seen a good market to sell their product. All of these reasons show the importance of cottage industry in Nepal . In the village areas , the development of the large. Scale industries is not possible. Only cottage industry is possible. A cottage industry provides self- employment . It does not need a proper time . The work can be done in any time, morning or evening , day or night as one's will and leisure. Cottage industries are the golden ways for removing unemployment in the country like Nepal.

The Road Transport in Nepal

transport means the carrying people or goods from one place to another. Because of the new discovery of the means of transportation we have become happiness and luckier than that of in the past. Due to the scientific discoveries in the field of transportation in the world our Nepal has also been wrestling those facilities. Here, we have plenty  of vehicles for road transport such as buses, truces, lorries, taxis, cars etc. are available everywhere. Most of the district headquarters link the capital city, Kathmandu and conducted regular services.      

The Forest of Nepal

The land covered by woods is called a forest. The forest is also the gift of god by which our life is possible  to be alive and natural properties. It is the natural properties of the country from which we become rich and it is the natural beauty of the earth by which we can feel how the nature is.

The forest of Nepal are categorized as the influence of climate. In Nepal there are five types of forests. They are- 
  1.  Tropical evergreen forest
  2. Deciduous monsoon forest 
  3. Evergreen coniferous forest 
  4. Alpine grassland forest and 
  5. Cold desert vegetation forest.

The rivers in Nepal

River means a natural waterway of following water. Here are more than  six thousand rivers in Nepal. Our country is also known as the state of rivers in world. Nepal is the second largest country in hydroelectricity and more than twelve thousands mega watt electricity an be generated from the rivers following here. There are two kinds of rivers in Nepal -1. Immanent rivers and 2. Temporary rivers. the rivers originated from the Himalayas are permanent or immanent rivers. Sapta -Gandaki , Sapta- Koshi, Sapta-Karnali and their tributaries are the example of such permanent rivers.
